The
new Racing Design for the 2001 / 2002 Season
As
a result of eight years of development in stringent racing conditions,
the X-Treme surpasses any other craft in strength, durability, and handling.

The X-Treme Racer
has a unique tunnel hull design created from a mixture of aero and hydrodynamics
which causes a phenomenal, almost flying effect at full speeds. The
craft is stable and responsive at speeds of up to 100 kilometers per
hour. The tunnel helps to stabilise the boat when running in rough water,
and to maintain a level angle of attack even when the boat is airborne.
The X-Treme enters and exits the water on a level plane and when returning
to the water, the tunnel compresses the air underneath, thereby softening
the landing.

The X-Treme uses
a combination of high tech products to establish exact planing surfaces.
The design on each planing surface minimises wetted areas planing resistance
by causing turbulence, which produces air bubbles under the planing
area, providing a faster surface for the X-Treme to run on. Built into
the planing surface is a spray rail, which deflects water downward to
enhance lift speed and fuel economy. The complete planing surface has
proven angles to enhance stability in both tracking and turning.

WHAT
DRIVES THE X-TREME:
- You receive
a softer ride in choppy waters and the prop doesn't leave the water often
- Wider hi-jackers
soften the ride and reduce bouncing
- The narrower
nose-cone ensures that the boat isn't flighty in surf and strong wind
- The tube and
hi-jacker shape provides more stability and speed
- With the planing
surface 15cm wider the boat runs more on the surface thus increasing speed
ADVANTAGES
| The
advantages of the new X-Treme over our previous models are as
follows: |
- Increase in
speed both downwind and into the wind
- Much more stability
- Jumps flatter
in the waves
- Very stable
into strong headwinds or at high speeds
- Quicker off
the mark (pull away) and quicker onto a plane coming off a
jump
- Motor keeps
its revs through surf, chop and downwind
- Turns very responsively
and doesn't lose revs into or out of turns
- Runs very well
in rough water conditions
- Less tiring
to ride
- Softer on pilot
and co-pilot
- Strength of
nose-cone increased (Choice of design)
- Less boat flexibility
due to design
